Something interesting happened today--a pumpkin joined our jolly gang on the floor! I approached him to say hello, and he seemed quite friendly enough:

me: Greetings!
pumpkin: Uh, hello.
me: What brings you here?
pumpkin: I'm, uh, s'posed to be on the run.
me: Who are you running from? Pumpkin chefs?
pumpkin: No, from ghosts.
me: Ghosts?
pumkin: Yeah.
me: Gee.

He then proceeded to hide behind some boxes and settle down there. I wonder how long he'll be there before he begins to rot. That certainly would not be a pretty sight.

Shepherd's pie and cactii

You see, the title of this post rhymes! I am in a rather good mood today; as I was wondering how long more I was destined to continue biding my time under the bed, my owner took me out for a long-awaited cooking session! This this it was shepherd's pie. I guess images speak louder than words:

My owner, as usual, was trying to be funny and wrote '133t' and 'woot' on her pies, with her fork. There is still quite a lot of leftover ingredients. The cheese was left out, unfortunately. Apparently she is going to cook again--I can't wait!

In other news, I am sad to report that Bob the cactus has gone to wherever good cactii go to when they breathe their last. My owner watered him too much. She says she does not want to keep any more plants. I am rather glad I am inorganic sometimes. Although I wonder what it is like to be squishy.

Making New Friends

My owner has brought home two new friends. They are two cacti who are residing in a pot which used to house another plant. I didn't talk to that plant much as it was too busy putting out leaves. I am not really sure what happened to it, too. Anyway, these two new cacti are called Arthur and Bob, and they are really fun to talk to! At first they seemed all prickly and stiff, but inside they are just softies. They're really nice. I hear they are starting a webcomic soon! I do wonder what it will be about...

...and it's back in the box again

After several weeks of inactivity, I am packed in the box again. This time I am wrapped in a pink plastic bag. My owner just grabbed it off the floor and stuffed me in it. It just had to be pink, of all colours. I am still trying to get used to it. It keeps making all sorts of cheerful comments. I used to take the effort to reply it but now I have realised that it does not really matter, it still goes on and on. And there is a limit to how many times one can say "Oh yes, how wonderful".

I am afraid being in the box has dampened everyone's spirits somewhat. I used to be able to strike up an interesting conversation with the soap container. Now we just sit there and mope around. Must be the weather, I guess. Anyway, my owner says it is going to be "Christmas" soon, and that we should cheer up. Apparently it is some festival humans celebrate where they all become happy. I wonder if we should have a celebration too, perhaps it might make everyone happy. I need to get the hang of this "Christmas" thing first.

A break from reflecting the floor

Today, I was used to cook instant noodles. Although it seems like it isn't much, I do suppose it is an improvement over reflecting the floor. I should complain about my owner, though. She left me boiling over on the stove and someone else had to come and switch it off. I also learnt the meaning of overkill today. Overkill is when your owner puts so much cous cous into the noodles that she gets sick eating the entire thing and has to throw it away. And this isn't the first time it has happened, too. There was this other time when she was making tomato soup and thought that adding cous cous would be a great idea. Oh well. I wonder when she will be cooking again? She still hasn't swept the floor, though. I do suppose it is a good thing--the soap bottle and I are having fun making dust bunnies.

A New Semester

Finally! I have been let out of the box. Apparently I am not exciting enough to be a cat, and the box to be a bag. Sadly, this is very true. I have to admit, rather reluctantly, that it is a pretty dull life being a pot. Perhaps it all depends on the owner. For the past few days since my owner has moved in, my view has been blocked by her printer that she neglected to set up. Now that she has finally set it up, there is not much improvement in the scenery. But I shall try to make my life interesting! Currently, I am keeping a log of the amount of dust building up in the area around me. I wonder how long it takes my owner to clean it up. The soap container says 3 weeks. I think she'll take more that that. I wonder if the soap container is interested in a bet. I'll go ask now. Goodbye!

Update from the box

Hello once again! I apologise for my lack of updates recently because I have been spending my time sitting in a box with my other companions. We won't be taken out again till several weeks later, so I do not know when I will next be able to post on this blog. As such, it really is a stroke of luck that my owner finally remembered me sitting in the box and took me out for some fresh air and blogging.

I have gotten to know my companions better during the long periods of time we have been spending in that box. We while away the time making up stories and jokes. The electric kettle has revealed a wonderful ability to tell stories! Its latest saga is about a dictionary and a literary novel. We are all waiting expectantly for the ending of that tale.

I can't say I've really enjoyed my interactions with my companions, though. I've discovered that the basket that my owner keeps her toiletries in can really complain. I wonder where all that bitterness came from. I suppose the damp in the toilet finally got to it.

Okay, I've got to go back to the box now. I hope I'll get taken out soon!

An update!

Hello once again! It has been quite some time since I last updated this blog, I know, but my owner has been pretty peevish lately and refused to let me use her laptop. I think it must be because she has been downloading some important files, perhaps. I couldn't get a good look at them because the laptop is pretty standoffish. It seems to have this idea that it is a superior piece of machinery than I am. I do suppose it is true, though. However, this just makes it more difficult for me to blog. No worries, though, I think its attitude is tolerable enough in exchange for the ability to post my thoughts online. Blogging is fun!

The pots in that catalogue sure are looking good. I am quite envious of the pots in the photograph as well. I mean, it must feel really good to be manipulated by such a cool and skilled chef. And he has such nice hands, too.

My owner says that is "just wrong" but I still don't get it. She has also refused to tell me what is wrong. I am rather confused.

Hmm, my owner has decided to take a break from using her laptop so here I am again. She doesn't do this very often except when she goes off to eat/sleep/bathe, though.

Anyway, she tells me that some of her friends think I am not real! I do suppose it is rather strange; a pot being able to form coherent thoughts and even have a blog, but I think being somewhat of a deviation from the norm might have something to do with it.

Oh well, no matter what they may think, here I am and here is my blog, and here is a handkerchief to blow my nose at anyone who doubts my existence. Poo.

Of course, I only meant that figuratively. You don't really believe I have a nose, do you?

Today, my owner woke up late again. She has been waking up pretty late these few days. Then again she has been sleeping very late as well. She spends copious amounts of time staring at her laptop and typing away. One wonders if she is doing work or chatting to her friends. I can't really see from this position from the floor, though. However judging from her expression it doesn't seem like work to me. Oh well. I hope she knows what she is doing, though.

My friend is back--the electric kettle--my owner had a cup of tea. He's being used more than I am. Sometimes I feel pretty jealous but I try not to. After all, he's my only friend. I can't really talk with the toothbrushes and bottle of soap powder; the most conversation we had went around something like this:

Me: Greetings to you! 'Tis a fine day indeed.
Bottle: Indeed, it is.
Me: Yeah.
*long pause*

Me: ...

So you see, I don't really have many people to talk to.

Okay, my owner needs to use the laptop again--goodbye!

I've been found out!

Oops, it looks like my owner has found out about my blog. Oh well. She's helping me make a new layout for it as well! That sounds like fun. Hmm, I wonder what it will look like...

Anyway, today was a pretty exciting day, starting a new blog and all. I'm rather exhausted with the excitement of it all and so I'll start posting for real tomorrow. My owner has kindly allowed me to use her laptop to post, so I'll have to thank her for that..

Welcome to my blog!
I decided to start a blog after seeing my owner get all excited about people commenting on her blog. I was wondering how exciting it would be. Hence, here is my blog.
